Are you and your family safe and sound where you are?

Ironically, my family is safe back in Shanghai, China. COVID-19 has been getting worse day by day here in the U.S. I’ve been staying in my apartment in Austin and trying to avoid heading out for anything except grocery shopping.

How do feel about your ability to finish the term completely online?

I think upcoming online classes for the rest of the semester would be a good experience. Although studying on campus allowed me to be very efficient, now I won’t have to waste time on traffic.

What made you happy this week?

My mom told me earlier this week that everybody in my family is safe. And this is all I’m asking for.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Wearing protective gear like masks is proven in many countries, including China and Taiwan, helpful in combating COVID-19. Yet US citizens for some reason don’t do it. I’m hoping that more people would realize the importance of this practice.
